At Whittawer, we pride ourselves in offering all our customers first-class customer service. All orders are dispatched using Standard Royal Mail First Class post. Depending on order value and delivery timescales we may send your order by recorded delivery. Orders sent by recorded delivery will require a signature. Orders placed using the special (next day) delivery option must be placed before 1pm that day to ensure dispatch on the same day (except during sale periods).

We only dispatch orders to the UK for the time being.

Shipping costs are as follows:

• Standard First Class to UK: 3-5 Working Days - £4.95
• Registered First Class (recommended as Whittawer can take no responsibility for items lost in the post and proof of posting can be supplied on request) - £5.95
  
• Special Delivery Service: Next Working Day - £9.95

Please note that we are unable to resolve any undelivered items until the standard number of delivery working days has passed.
We have introduced this standard shopping charge of £4.95 to cover the costs of postage and packaging as well as improving our service. We want to ensure that all items are dispatched as quickly as possible and that all customer enquiries are answered in a fast and efficient manner.

Returns back to a store

If you would like to return a product back to our store for an exchange it is easy. Simply return your item accompanied by the delivery note or returns label that arrived with the original order so we can process your exchange quickly. Please Note: Due to hygiene reasons we are unable to accept underwear returns in any shape or form.

Exchanges

If the goods for your exchange are in stock, they will be dispatched within 10 working days. If the goods you require are out of stock we will send them to you once they become available again. You can check stock availability and expected product arrival times on our website. If this item is not in stock or there will be a slight delay on its arrival we will usually notify you as soon as possible.
Please allow 10 working days for your request to be processed! For security reasons we regret to inform you that we cannot accept returns other than through the postal service.

Please note:

• The returning item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. We cannot provide exchanges on products that are lost in the post when being returned back to us.
• The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.
• The parcel can take up to 7 working days to be returned to our warehouse.

What happens if some of my items are out of stock?

If we need to send items from an order on a later delivery due to a lack of stock at the time of order this is referred to as a backorder. Delivery costs are for a complete order, regardless of the number of items ordered. You will only be charged once for delivery and you will not be charged additional delivery costs for any items sent separately due to stock issues.

What should I do if I do not receive my goods within the usual delivery time frame?

Our good normally arrive within the specified delivery timeframe, however from time to time problems may occur. If your order has not arrived, please contact our Customer Services Department on 01865 793879 from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday. Alternatively you can email us at info@whittawer.co.uk and we will investigate any problems and queries as soon as possible.

Do I need to sign for my goods?

Parcels sent by UK standard delivery are delivered by Royal Mail and will sometimes require a signature upon delivery. These normally arrive within 2 to 3 working days from the date of dispatch. Deliveries are Monday to Friday only. If you are out when delivery is attempted an advisory card will be left at your address. You will then be able to arrange collection Direct with Royal Mail.
UK Next day deliveries are guaranteed to be delivered by Royal Mail before 5pm.(Subject to passing our security checks which can delay dispatch) These will require a signature on receipt. Note: Next day deliveries are Monday to Friday.

Can my order be delivered the next day?

UK Next Day orders need to be placed before 1pm (subject to passing our security checks which can delay dispatch).
UK Next Day deliveries are guaranteed to be delivered by Royal Mail before 5pm. These will require a signature on receipt. Note: Deliveries are Monday to Friday only.

What do I do if I want to return any of my items?

Our 28 day no quibble guarantee means that if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase you may return it for an exchange.
Goods will be replaced only after the original goods are returned. Whittawer will replace the goods upon agreement with you.
Do make sure to obtain a receipt from your post office as we cannot be responsible for returned parcels lost in transit.

How do I pay for my order?

Payment for goods may be made in pounds Sterling using; Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Delta or Maestro.
You will only have to pay for your goods once they have been dispatched.

Can I pay with a Whittawer gift voucher?

Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to pay with gift vouchers online or over the telephone, but you can post a gift voucher in with a postal order or take your voucher into our store.

When will I be charged for my order?

You will not be charged for any items until they have been shipped and you will then only be charged for those items that have been shipped. If the items you have ordered are shipped separately, you will only be charged once for delivery.

Can I cancel or amend my order once it has been placed?

All orders are processed immediately, which means that we are unable to amend or cancel orders once they have been placed so please do make sure you are happy with your order before placing it. If you require additional items, you can place a new order.
If you do receive any items you no longer require or that are incorrect, you can simply return them free of charge under our no quibble guarantee for an exchange.
